"The Wake-up"
At the end of chapter 2, the reader has met Alex's mom and dad. If you could describe his mom with only one word and his dad with only one word, what word would you use for each? Why?

I think that there are many types of people in this world. Jordan Sonnenblick is obviously a person who enjoys either reading, or writing humor. I am personally someone who enjoys a good laugh. If this book was all troubles and no humor, I would have a hard time keeping focused. When Jordan Sonnenblick put in the diagologe where Alex says, "Okay, you're an ambulance," I thought that was funny. Little bits of humor now and again keep me satified and focused with a rather hard story to write.
I don't think the author expressed the seriousness of the situation. By what I know, Alex will be charged with under-aged driving, under-aged drinking, DUI, vandilism of privite property, and vehicle theft. I'm suprised he won't go to Juvee.
If i was to describe his mom with one word it would be bi-polar because when she sees Alex ok she is SOOO happy but two minutes later sheh is screaming and yelling and if i was to descrobe his dad with one word it would be irresponsible because he doesn't take responsibility for his actions.
To start with I would describe Alex's mom as someone who would be a good mother, but mabey she could lose her temper. The father is a little tougher,and mabye that's why Alex got so mad. I know they both play the blame game.
At the end of chapter two, i would probably explain Alex's mom as a relaxed mom and his dad as mean or bad. Alex's mom would be labeled as relaxed because most parents automatically would get mad at their son and get them grounded, and another reason why i think that word effects her the best is because she didn't take his guitar away after the hospital, which most parents would take that away as well as get really mad at the teen, but another is because most parents would be really really mad and scared of the court meeting, which could take away her son. I labeled Alex's dad as mean or bad, like Alex labeled him (not biased)that he actually CHEATED on Janet, Alex's mom with his third grade teacher and not only that, but he also seems not to visit or talk to Alex very much. In conclusion, I would both label them "immature" because they fought against each other when their son is hurt, but other wise, those words would be the words i would label them, or describe them.
I would describe Alex's mom as being wishy-washy because she is disiplining Alex as if he should know better and then the next she is being passive when she is being all motherly. His father is a lot different,he is very strict instead of feeling bad for his son he thinks there should be some consequenses.
I think Alex is a littel stuck on himself. Everyone he sees he comes up with some nasty or unpositive remark. I think he does this because he is unsucure about himself and thinks everyone else is nit-pickink or saying the same about him. He is kind of in his own littel world, he aks like he makes the world spin.
I think that alex's mom is glad that alex is okay,but is mad from what he did and alex's dad is not much of a caring person towards alex.He is just glad that alex didn't die from the accident.
